Commoner Heritage
At Drakenwood Stud, we believe the true essence of a pony lies in its roots. Our breeding program is deeply influenced by generations of commoning, where ponies are raised in the open air of the New Forest. This heritage ensures that every animal we aim to breed and produce, is not just a product of genetics, but a testament to the resilience of  The New Forest pony, bred for both competitive sport and the joy of showing.

About Us
I am an international Grand Prix dressage rider and winner, and I’ve represented Great Britain at three European Championships. I breed and train dressage horses to a high level and my long-term goal is to compete at the Olympic Games. I’ve lived in the New Forest my whole life and recently gained my brand and commoning rights, allowing me to run ponies on the forest. I grew up riding Forest ponies and have a deep respect for their breed. My aim is to breed versatile ponies that excel in equestrian sport, drawing on my experience producing top dressage horses to bring the same quality and trainability to my Forest ponies.
